iRobot Braava Jet 240 Review
The fact that the iRobot Braava Jet 240 has been around for many years is testament to its superior performance.
This robot mop comes in a small package but achieves big things.
Pros
Small Size
The iRobot Braava Jet 240 is very compact, which allows it to squeeze through small spaces and enhances its ability to maneuver.
App
You can connect this robot vacuum to the standard iRobot app. This is convenient if you have multiple iRobot devices.
Performance
It actually gets the job done and that’s one of the most important things to consider when buying a robot mop. There’s no need for a second run with a standard mop.
Cons
Mapping
The robot moves in straight lines. There’s no sophisticated mapping. It does stumble into things. You can set up a virtual wall but that’s just about it.
Connectivity
The app connection is via Bluetooth. Remote connectivity is not possible. I consider this to be only a minor drawback. After all, considering that you’ll be mainly using it for wet mopping, you kind of want to be at home anyway.
Mopping Pads
The robot includes 6 cleaning pads that are basically one-time use only. This can get expensive over time. I highly recommend spending more and buying washable wet mopping pads.
Takeaways
Needless to say, iRobot is one of the biggest names in the smart home sector.
As I mentioned earlier, the longevity of the Braava Jet 240 is an indicator of its success.
There are more expensive mopping robots of course but from what I have seen, they don’t have the versatility of this robot.
If you are looking for a robot mop, I highly recommend the iRobot Braava Jet 240.
